PRF in Phoenix
Are dark circles, fine lines, or sunken eyes noticeable when you look at yourself in the mirror? What if there’s a natural, effective way to rejuvenate your skin without going under the knife?
Here comes Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF), a groundbreaking treatment that uses your own blood’s components to give you that youthful glow.
Scroll deeper to find out why PRF is becoming the go-to treatment for skin rejuvenation.
What is PRF?
Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a natural, autologous blood concentrate that’s all about you—literally. It uses your own blood to rejuvenate your skin.
Unlike its predecessor, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), PRF contains a richer concentration of platelets, white blood cells, and even Mesenchymal Stem Cells. It’s like your body’s own little miracle serum for skin rejuvenation.
PRF is an effective solution for:
- Dark Circles. PRF can improve pigmentation under the eyes.
- Sunken Eyes. Loss of bone density and fat in the face can cause sunken eyes. PRF can help restore this.
- Fine Lines and Wrinkles. PRF boosts collagen production, improving skin elasticity and reducing fine lines.
Advantages of PRF
When it comes to skin rejuvenation, PRF is a game-changer. Here are the reasons why it’s gaining so much attention:
- Higher Platelet Concentration. Unlike PRP, PRF offers a richer concentration of platelets. More platelets mean more growth factors, which translates to better results.
- Longevity of Results. The fibrin matrix in PRF allows for a slower, more sustained release of growth factors. This means you'll enjoy the benefits for a longer period compared to other treatments.
- All-Natural. PRF is derived from your own blood, making it a biologically compatible option. There are no added anticoagulants or chemicals, reducing the risk of allergic reactions or side effects.
What to Expect During the Treatment
The treatment is straightforward and takes about 45 minutes. First, your blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to separate the PRF.
This PRF is then injected into the targeted areas of your face. You may experience mild bruising and swelling for a few days after the treatment.
Aftercare Tips
After your PRF session, you’ll want to maximize the benefits and minimize any side effects. Here are some tips to help you do just that:
- Avoid anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin and ibuprofen for at least 3 days post-treatment. These can interfere with the healing process.
- Skip alcohol and caffeine for 48 to 72 hours after your session. These can dehydrate your skin and may affect the results.
- Keep yourself well-hydrated. Drink plenty of water during the week following your treatment to help flush out any toxins and aid in the healing process.
Maintenance is minimal. One session per year should suffice for lasting results. However, for optimal results, it’s recommended to have three sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.

Botox and other neuromodulators are neurotoxins produced by bacteria (Clostridium botulinum) that block the conduction of nerve impulses to muscles. These neurotoxins are produced by little bacteria, which are purified and packaged so that they can be injected in tiny amounts for a controlled response from the nerves and muscle cells. Botox is an effective treatment not only for eliminating these muscle contractions at the time of the injection (and for 3-4 months afterwards), but generally weakens the muscles so that new wrinkles are less likely to form. Due to its excellent safety profile and non-systemic effects, it is very much in line with naturopathic principles. Dermal fillers are likewise compatible with the body as they are made from hyaluronic acid (HA) which the body creates on its own. As we age, HA decreases so the fillers replace what the body has lost over time.
Botox uses tiny insulin needles and is generally very tolerable. The process is also very quick. Lip fillers and micro-needling can be uncomfortable but we use prescription strength numbing agents to make these procedures as comfortable as possible. Most procedures have little to no downtime and you can go to work and play as usual!
